GRCBC Obedience Sanction Match

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Obedience Sanction Match (the “Event”), organized by the Golden Retriever Club of British Columbia (GRCBC) and held at Coton Field Dog Center (the “Facility”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that participating in dog-related activities carries inherent risks. These may include, but are not limited to, physical injury, dog bites, allergic reactions, falls, and accidents arising from handling, training, or interacting with dogs.

I voluntarily accept all risks connected with my participation in the Event, whether known or unknown. I assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, property damage, loss, claim, expense, or liability that I may experience or incur as a result of my participation.

I release and discharge the Golden Retriever Club of British Columbia and its officers, directors, members, volunteers, judges, stewards, employees, agents, and other Event participants, together with the Facility and its owners, lessors, lessees, managers, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, or damages arising from or connected with my participation in the Event, including those caused or alleged to have been caused, in whole or in part, by the negligence of a Released Party.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, claim, or expense resulting from my participation in the Event or the actions of any dog under my care or control.

I confirm that I am physically able to participate and that I am not aware of any medical condition or other reason that would prevent me from safely taking part in the Event.

I agree to follow the instructions, rules, and safety requirements established by the Event organizers and Facility representatives.

If an injury or medical emergency occurs, I authorize the Event organizers to obtain appropriate medical assistance when they believe it is necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any medical or related expenses incurred.

I grant permission for photographs or video recordings taken of me during the Event to be used by the Golden Retriever Club of British Columbia for legitimate club purposes, including publicity and promotion, without compensation.

By checking the consent box, I confirm that I have read and understood this Waiver and Release of Liability. I understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue. I accept this agreement freely and voluntarily and intend it to provide a complete release of liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
