Anita’s wonderful journey in goldens began on July 14, 1977 when her first puppy was born. She competed in conformation, obedience, field and tracking events, and met many fabulous people and lifelong friends along the way. She travelled to many National Specialties across the U.S.A. as well. All of her dogs were owner handled and trained to all their titles, including multi High In Trials, Sporting group win and placements and National Specialty placements as well as their hunt, working certificate and tracking titles.

She was very blessed to own 6 amazing goldens:

Can. OTCH Kachina’s Desert Sands, Can. WCX, Am. CDX “Mika”

Am. Can. Ch. & Can. OTCH Amanda’s Pacific Whirlwind, Can. UDT, WCI, TT, VCX, Am. CDX, TD, JH, WCX, VCX, GRCA, GRCC & GRCBC Outstanding Sire “Jaimie”

Anita served on the GRCBC Executive as Secretary for many years and was also secretary for many of the Club’s hunt and working certificate tests. She was honoured to be a recipient of the Chris Burton Award and several of her dogs won many of the Magoffin trophies at the annual awards banquet. She only bred four litters under her Leemark kennel name, but “Jaimie” sired many incredible kids of whom she is extremely proud.
